Krystal Simmons works in the Human Resources Department, and specifically over the training and welfare of the crew, particularly in medical or any chaplain services. She oversaw the training and well-being of Ron Miscavige for five years. Krystal describes a harrowing encounter in which Ron Miscavige physically pushed her and his volcanic temper blew up after being asked about his studies. “Anyway many defamatory statements and slurs about me, many four-letter words. And then started coming after me. And I’m like, ‘Whoa!’ And the person that was with him actually stopped him from doing anything, however he did shove me up against the door and, like I said, nothing else happened because the other gentleman in the room actually pulled him off of me.”
