Kevin Caetano is the head of Security at Golden Era Productions. He also knew Ron Miscavige well, and knew first-hand that the “escape” story he tells in his book and in media interviews is nonsense. He notes that contrary to Ron Miscavige’s claim, staff drive in and out of the property all of the time just like any other studio. “As you can see, this is a full-blown film and sound studio. Just like any other film studio in the world, you have to have security. So, what makes this one unique is that we have facilities on one side of the highway as well as facilities on the other side of the highway. So what happens is staff often have to cross, and this literally goes on all day. We also have many actors coming, public officials, sometimes law enforcement visit us. So there’s a lot of traffic in and out of these gates.”
