McHenry Ellis plays woodwinds—sax, flute and clarinet. A veteran Las Vegas musician, he has been at Golden Era since 1989, where he worked with Ron Miscavige. In his joint interview with Russ Greilich, Carl Leach and Tom McMurray, McHenry notes sarcastically how laughable Ron Miscavige’s claim is of being held against his will at Golden Era Productions. “I was ‘captured’ and taken to the San Diego Zoo with my family a little while back, and it was…we spent the whole day there trying to escape from that zoo, and going around and looking at every animal and came back…I had to take a couple of days to recuperate from that because it was so rough.”
