• Becky Bigelow: The Former Cocktail Waitress Behind Ron Miscavige’s Shakedowns

In 1990, Ron Miscavige married former Playboy Club cocktail bunny Becky Bigelow—a woman 27 years his junior—when the two abruptly eloped to Las Vegas. She married him for the name of his famous son and the advantages she dreamed it would bring her.

Younger than each of Ron’s children, Becky is behind the scenes stoking Ron’s efforts to exploit his son’s fame. It was Becky who cheered on Ron, encouraging him to publish a book vilifying his son David to see how much money they could get by selling out his family, showing no concern that by betraying his children he would live out his remaining years a miserable, sad man.

Becky also involved herself in his other efforts to shake down his children for the last four years. Becky is undoubtedly just waiting for Ron to die. Ron’s book is her opportunity to pad the nest egg and squeeze everything out of him that she can before he’s gone. Just to make sure, Ron even copyrighted his book in both his and Becky’s names.

Becky doesn’t care if Ron betrays his family as long as it pads the bank account she will enjoy when he is dead. So her claims that the two of them are only interested in rebuilding the family relations they imploded are laughable, because anyone truly interested in doing that isn’t about to go out and write a book trashing his own family.

It’s very telling that Becky comes off as an afterthought in his book, relegated to bit parts throughout and written about with a detached lack of emotion. That’s because Ron didn’t write a “memoir” about his actual life playing in a Church band. Instead, he turned his book over to anti-Scientologist zealot Dan Koon, the real author, to push his agenda. He’s the one who manipulated Ron along with Becky into selling out his family in exchange for attention, money and being stroked like a big shot.

Like Ron, Becky is running her own con, using the family of her 80-year-old husband to make a buck.

Becky well knows that when Ron asked his son David for help, he was given it. Ron wanted assistance to buy a house and cover his medical expenses. David gave his father a generous $100,000 tax-free with no strings attached out of his personal funds, because of David’s compassion. As a result of the gift, Ron purchased a home mortgage-free for the first time in his life.  On top of the funds for a home, David added $5,000 annually so Ron could purchase medical and dental insurance. David’s generosity would let Ron live out his life in peace.

Becky isn’t one to hide her insatiable appetite for money. When the $100,000 check arrived, she celebrated like they had hit the lottery jackpot. Like Ron, Becky only saw the dollar signs and had no heartfelt appreciation or gratitude for the kindness and generosity David showed Ron.

Becky desperately wants to make sure that she gets his money, assets and house, which explains her lottery-winner reaction when they received the $100,000 check. Her goal: get as much $$$ as possible by squeezing Ron’s family for money or by shamelessly exploiting them.

No sooner was the check cashed than she was back at it, prodding Ron to put his hands out again demanding more. They didn’t even pause long enough to acknowledge the latest and largest of generous gifts David has given to Ron throughout his life.

That included hiring a top legal team in 1985 when Ron was arrested for attempted rape that succeeded in getting the charges dropped. It enabled Ron to avoid a potential prison sentence that would have kept him from ever meeting Becky. But neither Ron nor Becky cares about all of the generous things David has done for Ron in the past. It’s all about how much money they can get their hands on next.

That’s why Becky shamelessly applauded when Ron and a handful of anti-Scientologists tried to make a buck exploiting his own son’s fame through a “memoir.” Except it wasn’t actually a memoir, but a book of hate-filled rants against David. Ron had decided to attack his own son through his newfound friends, who included individuals involved in harassing his own daughter and her husband through frivolous litigation.

Ron’s daughters, Denise and Lori, called Becky and told her in no uncertain terms how they felt about what their father was doing and that she needed to stop her games in manipulating him to sell out their family to make money for her.

Becky’s response to their phone call?

By no coincidence she made this sinister posting on Facebook after she spoke with Denise and Lori: I know who I am and what Im capable of. You’d be wise not to underestimate me.

Becky is the one in the background, egging on their father to make her some money. Becky may tell Ron that she is sticking by him until the bitter end—actually prodding him to make more money for her. But in the past, when he was out of earshot, she had even over the years griped about Ron to customers at Chico’s, where she works as assistant store manager.

Becky’s mother apparently feels the same way.  She expressed disgust about Ron for years.  She referred to him as a “leech,” “bastard” and “S.O.B.”  She had told people years ago that Becky feels similarly, that she only tolerates Ron so she can get his money and that she considers Ron a joke. She also once disclosed Becky keeps her own money separate from Ron’s and doesn’t want him knowing how much she has.

It is not surprising that Becky covers up from Ron. Becky’s dishonesty in finances is nothing new. During her period working for the Church, she was caught lying, destroyed valuable documents and produced inferior materials to go to parishioners which had to be redone by others at significant expense. As an example, Becky forged the signature of quality control to authorize promotion where none had been given. She even was caught secretly juggling accounts to cover up bad printing jobs that had to be reprinted, spending $53,000 with no authority to do so.

Her co-workers constantly called her out, stating “Becky will lie to save her butt.” “She is untrustworthy and unproductive.”

Becky’s prodding of Ron to sell out his family shows her dishonesty.

There’s no better proof that Ron Miscavige’s wife Becky is a partner in his con than to contrast the glowing things she said about his son David with the false “memoir” of vilification Ron is now selling to make a buck.

In March 2011, she wrote that Mr. David Miscavige is “brilliant and my thanks to him for all hes done.”

Showing how much a con she and Ron are running, Becky also previously gushed praise for how David treated his father and her husband Ron despite Ron’s whining in his “memoir” that he was unhappy. At the time, both he and Becky were gushing praise about David and what he had done for them.

Just one of many examples occurred when David made all of the arrangements and paid for Ron’s trip back to Pennsylvania for the funeral of Ron’s brother, Red. David also bought Ron a new suit, paid for a beautiful floral arrangement that Ron had forgotten to buy and had two longtime friends accompany Ron and Becky so they wouldn’t have to worry about anything. Becky wrote about the trip:

“[It was] a demonstration of a really caring being who wanted to take the anxiety and stress off his father.”

“[It was] a demonstration of a really caring being who wanted to take the anxiety and stress off his father.”

Finally, she admitted what neither Ron nor she is willing to admit today. That David only wanted the best for his father. In fact, Becky wrote that David “Just wants him [Ron] to be contributing and happy.”  How true.  And what does Becky want?  To make a buck off the good name of her husband’s son.  That’s shameful.
