My name’s Adam Reuveni and I’m the Music Director here at Golden Era Productions. This is the music scoring room where I do all the music for our films, our videos, our ads and PSAs.

DENISE: My name is Denise Sommerville and I’ve been at Golden Era Productions since 1987. I… I was here the entire time—I mean, Ron… I was here working with Ron from 1987 until 2012 when he left. I was in the band with him as a singer for the first seven years I was here.

Bert Drake, Musician

Bert Drake is the music recordist, drummer and engineer in the Music Studio. He has worked at Golden Era for 25 years, more than 20 of those with Ron Miscavige. He tells how everyone generously spent time in an effort to help Ron Miscavige keep up. “Ron required so much attention.

Carl Leach, Musician

Carl Leach is the lead trumpet player at Golden Era. A professional trumpet player who played in the Stan Kenton Orchestra and at top Las Vegas hotels, he has been at Golden Era for 23 years, runs the music library and played alongside Ron Miscavige.

Chris Maio, Musician

Chris Maio is the music mixer and guitarist in the Golden Era band. He has produced hundreds of professional guitar recordings, and worked with Ron Miscavige in the Music Department for more than a decade. Chris tells how Ron constantly was demeaning to others.

Denise Sommerville, Audio Operations Director

Denise Sommerville is the Audio production manager and has been at Golden Era Productions since 1987. An associate producer of an Emmy-winning television show, she was Ron Miscavige’s boss and worked directly with him for more than 20 years.

McHenry Ellis, Musician

McHenry Ellis plays woodwinds—sax, flute and clarinet. A veteran Las Vegas musician, he has been at Golden Era since 1989, where he worked with Ron Miscavige.

Peter Schless, Musician

Russ Greilich is a sound engineer who worked as a professional musician in the San Francisco Bay Area. He’s been with the Golden Era Musicians for 30 years.

Suzanne Bolstad, Musician Administration

Suzanne Bolstad is a senior executive within the Audio Division and is responsible for the organization, training and efficiency of the personnel within the division. She has held this position for close to 10 years.

Tim Boyle, Senior Mixer

Tim Boyle is the senior mixer, and has worked for Golden Era Productions for 12 years. Tim is not a member of the Sea Organization. The former chief scoring mixer at Paramount Pictures, Tim is responsible for the quality of all final mixes of all films and video properties produced by the studio.

Tom McMurray, Musician

Tom McMurray for 27 years, working with Ron Miscavige during the time he was in the Sea Org, plays the trombone and writes music at Golden Era Productions. In his joint interview with Russ Greilich, McHenry Ellis and Carl Leach, Tom notes that Ron lacked discipline and work ethic.
